About Us The Long Island Beach Bums Girls Lacrosse Club was started in September 2006. We began with one team for the 2007 Summer season that team played in the U13 age bracket (6th & 7th graders). 19 girls were selected for this team. They are and will always be the original Beach Bums. This BUMS team played in 5 tournaments. The JDF Express/Massapequa Lax tourney, LAX by the Sea in New Egypt N.J., NE Allstars at Fort Devens, Mass., East Coast Lax wars in Sewell, N.J. and the LI Elite Showcase in Brentwood. The Beach Bums posted an impressive record for a first year team by winning 18 of 24 games. We went undefeated at Lax by Sea and at the New England Allstars, the Beach Bums lost in the final game and took home runner up medals. http://www.neylat.com/pages/phototeams2007.html  Coach Harrison and the Beach Bums pregame warmups The Beach Bums this season have 2 teams. A 5th& 6th grade team and a 7th and 8th grade (Designation for all teams is by current grade ).Jesse lynch will be the Head Coach of the 5th/6th team. The older team will again be coached by Tim Harrison. The Beach Bums are looking forward to another great Summer travel season in 2008. Keep checking this site for tryout information for next season. Head Coach: (5/6) Jessie Lynch Jesse is a former Divison 1 college player Asst Coaches: Greg Antolini, Laurie Fredericks & George Glenday. GM: John Fredericks John is the past President of Babylon Village Lacrosse and handles the daily oversight of the team.
